Spirited Away

Spirited Away is a great little app that helps to reduce the clutter that OS X’s windowing system tends to lead to.
Unlike Windows OS X aims at many open windows at the same time, in contrast to Windows’ approach of having one application maximized at a time. This does have the downside of creating a visually chaotic look.
Spirited Away combats that by allowing to set a timeout for inactive windows, which when it runs out makes it hide. So, the only remaining windows are the ones you are actively using. And it helps distraction, you won’t be that tempted to talk to random strangers or play another album if your iTunes and Adium aren’t showing.
