Monstrous cables
In the past couple of days since the move I’ve bought a new television and stereo. With both the salesmen at the LARGE DUTCH ELECTRONICS STORE WHOSE SITE DOES NOT WORK IN SAFARI wanted me to buy the “best” cable there was.
This was always Monster Cable. This does not have to do with the high margins retail stores have on these cables, no it’s because they want the best quality for you. All kinds of voodoo is supposedly distilled into these cables.
Of course this is bullshit:
Our conclusion: You don’t need to spend a fortune on cables. The HDMI cables performed comparably in both our instrument tests and our visual tests. And with analog cables, the analyzer revealed some degree of variation in quality, but the variances did not translate into noticeable differences in our visual tests.
